About me
I am an associate professor of political science at the University of New Mexico. I study the politics of service delivery in decentralized settings. My research explores key development actors - NGOs and mayors - and the challenges they face in providing services critical to combating poverty. In particular, I explore the policy areas of water, sanitation and energy provision. At UNM, I teach courses on comparative politics, comparative political economy, development, poverty and inequality, and water and health in Latin America.
